General Santos Doctors Hospital is opening a bigger, better, and more complete GSDH Cancer Center come the first quarter of 2023.

Established in 2011, the GSDH Cancer Center was the first multi-disciplinary cancer center in General Santos City. It evolved from catering to chemotherapy patients in the GSDH Emergency Room to adding services such as therapeutic phlebotomy, zoledronic acid infusion therapy, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, blood transfusion, and arthrocentesis. The expansion also led to the opening of a dedicated GSDH Cancer Center at the Medical Suites Building in 2016.

After 12 years, GSDH is expected to open a more complete cancer center manned by a multi-specialty team using the latest equipment from Elekta, the Elekta Synergy HD, and Elekta Flexitron. With the addition of Elekta Flexitron to its radiotherapy machines, GSDH will be the first and only Brachytherapy center in Region 12.
